Female DJ and production duo The Glitter Beats have a great look and an even better sound; they are well established on the London music scene and can rock the decks at every party. DJ Tommy Tayla and DJ Yuki Love combine their musical talents delivering ‘hands in the air’ sets, to the trendiest crowds in the capital. Having played at all of London’s best nightspots including Mahiki, Kensington Roof Gardens, W Hotel, Project Club and Raffles, they continue to build their extensive client base and impressive reputation.
TGB have been seen spinning the decks across the UK performing sets at brand and media launches including for the National Television Awards official after party at The 02, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s ‘Mahiki at Home’ Party, Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala, Notion 71 issue launch party, Ariana Grande’s ‘Ari’ perfume launch and they were the entertainment highlight at Lorraine’s High Street Fashion awards. The girls regularly DJ at London Fashion Week and are supported by Monster Headphones; they were also part of the Club MTV Dance Tour
From just one glance at TGB behind the decks, it is obvious that they absolutely love what they do. Their energy is infectious and drives the crowds they play to, they don't just simply mix music. DJ'ing for them is a performance and during their sets you can see them constantly interacting with the crowd and creating an electrifying atmosphere, whether in a club, at a private event or fashion show.
Although at first they may appear very different, the fusion of Tommy and Yuki’s cultures, tastes and style gives them their unique edge and is what gives their mixes such a distinct eclectic sound. Like their favourite DJ’s, Diplo, DJ Kayper and Hannah Wants, the girls constantly mix a wide variety of music and styles; perhaps best known for their energetic commercial house sets, they shape their sets depending on what their audience wants to hear and what fills the dance floor.
TGB are now expected to cause a stir on the production scene. They’ll be exploring original sounds and combining their diverse range of influences, from producers such as Nile Rodgers, Nervo and Diplo, to create eclectic floor-fillers and future classics. Their newest production ‘Don’t Talk’ ft Jon B feats the slick vocals of Jon B's 2001 RnB club jam ‘Don’t Talk’ along with a fresh new vibe created by soulful house and electro beats - this infectious club banger is set to be huge.
With their passion and flair for music and fashion, allied with their down to earth nature their aim is to keep enjoying what they do, entertain their audiences and build The Glitter Beats’ brand to become synonymous with cutting edge music, parties and fashion. Undeniably, they are one of London's most talked about collectives and, with plans to hit the UK festival scene and develop their international bookings, 2016 is set to be massive for TGB!
